Faye Portal ("we", "us", "our") operates the website fayenyx.com and the Faye AI companion service. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who can access it, and how you can delete it.

- Display name — the name you choose for Faye to call you
- Authentication provider — if you sign in with X (Twitter), we receive your public profile info
Chat Messages
- Conversation history — your messages and Faye's responses are stored to maintain continuity across sessions
- Emotion metadata — the detected emotion tag for each message (e.g., happy, sad) used to animate Faye's 3D avatar
- Timestamps — when each message was sent
Memories
- Memory facts — key details Faye learns about you during conversations (e.g., "likes sci-fi movies", "has a dog named Max")
- Importance scores — used to prioritize which memories Faye recalls
Usage Data
- Daily message counts — to enforce the daily message limit
- Bond score metrics — message count, memory count, conversation count, and streak data used to calculate your relationship level with Faye
2. What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect payment information (Faye is currently free)
- We do not track your location
- We do not use cookies for advertising (only essential auth cookies)
- We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing
3. Who Can See Your Chats
Nobody. Your conversations with Faye are private. Specifically:
- Other users cannot see your messages, memories, or any personal information
- Faye's team does not read individual conversations. We may access aggregated, anonymized data for debugging and improving the service
- AI provider — your messages are sent to our AI provider to generate responses. They process the text but do not store conversations permanently per their privacy policy
4. Where Your Data Is Stored
- Database — all user data is stored in a secure cloud database with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled. Each user can only access their own data
- Authentication — handled with industry-standard encryption and secure token management
- Hosting — the website is hosted on a secure cloud platform with HTTPS enforced
5. How to Delete Your Data
You have the right to delete your data at any time:
- Delete all conversations — contact us at the email below and we will permanently delete all your chat history, memories, and conversation data within 48 hours
- Delete your account — request full account deletion and all associated data will be permanently removed from our systems
To request deletion, email us at: fayetsukihime+team@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your Faye account.
6. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party providers for the following:
- Cloud database & authentication — secure data storage and user sign-in
- AI text generation — processes your messages to generate Faye's responses
- Web hosting — serves the website securely over HTTPS
- Google AdSense — advertising on blog pages. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits. You can opt out at Google Ad Settings
7. Children's Privacy
Faye is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of Faye after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
